During the past couple months we had to switch gears to carry out the mission of WOTM. Luckily, modern technology is our friend and we adapt. It is difficult to determine at this moment whether we will go back to our monthly facility tours BUT we are able to offer other types of events and educational content. We look forward to re-engaging with you all in person in the upcoming months!

Career Pathways Committee

The Pathways committee work has been delayed in light of the COVID-19, however we plan to re-schedule school career fairs as well as gear up for the annual National Manufacturing Day tours and expo. Beth Mead, of CEANCI and WOTM Vice President works annually with the Rockford Chamber and committee members to offer this career exploration and awareness activity to high school students with a few middle school students in the mix as well. Business partners are able to connect with students in many cases who have been trained and certified in our high school Career Technical education classrooms.

WOTM also collaborates with other organizations who support career pathways for students. Please learn more about the Education and Manufacturers Council by clicking here.
