We all know 2020 was an interesting year and most of us are ready to put it in the past. For WOTM, 2020 had its ups and downs, however, we actually had a very positive year.
We were able to host our two big scholarship fundraising events and still continued to put out educational content via video, blogs, and a live-streamed panel discussion.
$11,000 was added to the WOTM scholarship funds administered through the Community Foundation of Northern Illinois. Please visit their website and see over 90 scholarship opportunities.
What’s Next for 2021?
Our Annual Scholarship Dinner is typically held in February. We are gearing up and planning this event with the tentative date in May this year. Stay tuned for more information as we continue planning.
The Annual Golf Outing will be held at Swan Hills on August 3rd, 2021. To get our golf game sharp for this event, we will have some great opportunities for lessons throughout the warmer months.
When COVID restrictions begin to lift, we will begin hosting the manufacturing plant tours again.
2021 Membership Renewal
We are eager to connect and get to know how to best align with your needs and interests. We have some really great pricing on our Individual and Corporate memberships—we have also added a discounted Student rate! Membership payments are due by the end of January 2020. It is so vital, especially during this tumultuous pandemic, that we continue to work toward supporting the WOTM mission.

A BIG Welcome to Our 2021 Members and Corporate Member Blackhawk Bank!
Each year we are able to sponsor robotics teams in the region. This year we asked the teams to submit a video entry explaining who they are, what differentiates their team from others, and how they intend to use the sponsorship dollars. These three teams have been awarded $500 sponsorships on behalf of WOTM. Watch their videos to learn more about their stories.
